Cynthia S "Cindy" Hojnacki

November 22nd, 1962 to November 9th, 2025

Cynthia “Cindy” Suzanne Hojnacki, 62, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, November 9, 2025 surrounded by love after a courageous fight against breast cancer.

She was born November 22, 1962 in Detroit to the late Richard and Marion Norman. Cindy graduated from Sterling Heights High School in 1980, and shortly after met Anthony “Scott” Hojnacki. They were married on November 17, 1984 in Warren.

Cindy began her career in the meat department at Super Kmart, and spent the last 10 years as a meat cutter and meat manager at Kroger in Port Huron. She had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling, always excited about the opportunity to see new places. She often traveled alone, and one of her favorite trips was a cross-country train adventure. Cindy also loved playing Bingo and going to casinos to play the slots. Recently, she enjoyed watching the birds at her feeders, especially hummingbirds.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Scott; three children, Toni (Art) Forstner, Jacob (Victoria) Hojnacki and Jesse (Deanna) Hojnacki; six grandchildren, Savannah, Aubrey, Carly, Sierra, Ryder, and Oakleigh; sister, Kim Norman; mother-in-law, Rose Marie Dorrell; sisters-in-law, Veronica Norman and Catherine (Mark) Sullivan; brothers-in-law, Michael (Mary) Hojnacki Jr. and Christopher (Rachelle) Hojnacki; step-sister, Jackie Marshall; and several very special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Butch Norman; father-in-law, Michael Hojnacki; and an aunt, Jan Bosman.

Private family memorial services will be held.
