Nathan R Gilbert

Nathan Rueben Gilbert, 90, died Sunday, November 16, 2025.

He was born April 8, 1935 in New Holstein, Wisconsin to the late Milford and Violet Gilbert. He married Alice Albers on July 23, 1987 in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Nathan served proudly in the U.S. Air Force and later drove both nationwide tour busses and trucks for a living.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Tammy (Joseph) Freshley, Timothy (Hope) Albers, Thomas (Tamborah) Albers, and Terry (Chad) Kitelinger; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
