June F Jehl

June Fern Jehl, 82, of Port Huron, died Friday, November 21, 2025.

She was born July 4, 1943 in Port Huron to the late Lametta F. and Anthony H. Wetzel Jr. She married Maurice “Moe” Jehl Jr. on November 11, 1967 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2024 after 56 years of marriage.

June was employed as a lunch lady with the Port Huron Area School District, mainly at Harrison Elementary. She enjoyed sitting by the water watching the freighters. Her greatest joy was seeing her grandchildren play sports (which filled up most of her afternoons).

She is survived by two sons, Patrick Jehl (Dawn Sullivan) and William Jehl; daughter, Jennifer Jehl; two grandchildren, Patrick (Lizzy) Jehl Jr. and Shane Jehl (fiancée Brittany Tuthill); one great grandchild, Jaxson Maurice Jehl; a brother, Alpha Wetzel; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Bruner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Jehl; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Frank Socha.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
