Julia J Silver

Julia Jean Silver, 75, of Fort Gratiot Township, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

She was born July 17, 1950 in Detroit to the late Alfred Frey and Geraldine Rismiller. She married Allen M. Silver on February 6, 1970 in Warren at St. Mark Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2024 after 54 years of marriage.

Julia was employed as an auditor at Sam’s Club for 20 years before her retirement. She was a talented seamstress. Known for her big forgiving heart, Julia loved her family deeply. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Edward Silver; daughter, Jody Silver; four grandchildren, Edward, Andrew, Makenzie and Courtney; seven great grandchildren; and four siblings, Roland, Joe, Ann and Katie. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Theresa and Mary; niece, Amy Deer; and great grandbaby Silver.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery.
