Donald K Beauchemin

Donald Keith Beauchemin, 97, of Port Huron, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025.

He was born August 2, 1928 in Marquette, Michigan to the late Alcide and Jessie Marie Beauchemin. He married June Rogers in June 1949 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on February 23, 2015 after 65 years of marriage.

Donald served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for several years before becoming a licensed electrician with local #59 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He worked as an electrician for 40 years before retiring at 62.

He enjoyed scuba diving and was a deputy sheriff working with search and rescue receiving many awards. Donald lived a long life with many passions including, playing golf, gardening, riding motorcycles, piloting planes, downhill skiing, studying history, and tinkering with carpentry. He was a life long learner who greatly enjoyed reading and in his later years listening to audio books. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, and hockey. He spent several years coaching his son’s hockey team, and he attended every game of his grandchildren he could get to. Above all else, Donald loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Greg (Janine) Beauchemin; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Crista) Beauchemin, Zachery Beauchemin, and Katie (Reggie) Wood; seven great grandchildren, Nicholas, Mckenzi, Liam, Genevieve, Victoria, Jackson, and Samuel; and his companion, Margaret Ann, the girls, and Kerr families. He was preceded in death by his son Mark (Kim) Beauchemin and his grandson Luke Beauchemin

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Jospeh Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Inurnment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Southfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
