Beverly Woolman

Beverly Ann Woolman, 84, of Port Huron, died Saturday, December 13, 2025.

She was born May 21, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Andrew and Edna Dortman. She married Lawrence Woolman on July 6, 1959, and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2006 after 47 years of marriage.

Beverly was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ and volunteered on various committees at church, the Red Cross and at Port Huron Hospital. Beverly proudly served her community as a member of Volunteers in Policing (VIP) at the Port Huron Police Dept. She loved to read, and was a member of the Blue Water Sportsman’s Club, where she liked to practice pistol shooting.

She is survived by her children, Wendy (John) Staiger and Scott (Barbara) Woolman; six grandchildren, Joshua, Derek and Timothy Woolman, Justin DeMar, Erika (Andrew) Staiger, and John Staiger IV; two great grandsons, Jordan and Jace Woolman; sister-in-law, Carolyn Woolman; brother-in-law, Gerald Woolman; two goddaughters, Jennifer (Mark) Devooght and Jerilynn (Rev. Thad) Spring; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Woolman; sister, Sandra (James) Pence; brothers, Andrew (Joanne) and Donald (Pat) Dortman; sisters-in-law, Lois (Sylvester) Wisniewski, Olive (Joe) Laturno, Mary (Estell) Hall, JoAnn (Robert) Click, and Jennie Woolman; and brothers-in-law; John and Ronald Woolman.

Services will be held at a later date. Information will be announced. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot.

Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ Altar Guild, the Red Cross and Blue Water Humane Society.
