Eric Calvin "Mook" Thomas, 57, of Detroit, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
He was born July 7, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, but later moved to Michigan and graduated from Port Huron High School. Eric moved to Detroit about 20 years ago, and remained there until his passing.
Eric was employed as a Hi-Lo driver. He loved going to Belle Isle and being around family, and one of the highlights of his year was working on the Detroit Grand Prix. Eric was a life-long lover of music. He was also always the one behind the grill barbequing at gatherings.
Eric leaves to mourn his passing children, Eric, Erica and Shontelle; step-children, AJ and Kelly; grandchildren, Amir and Amari; brothers, Clyde, Ed and Rahsaan; sister, Aisha; aunts, Carol and Johnnie; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 29, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Carl E. Miller Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
