Robert Leon Smith

Robert Leon Smith, 70, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, December 26, 2025.

He was born August 13, 1955 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Mary Lou Turner. He married Sybil Walker on January 4, 2015.

Robert honorably served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and listening to music. He will be remembered by all as a well-dressed man.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 10 years, Sybil; children, Laltsha “Tasha” (Brandon) Cunningham, Sky Smith, Staruen (Lauren) Smith and Patrick Smith; stepchildren, Sherika and Tyrique; grandchildren, Tiara Demetria Brown, Laurieana Smith, Skylar Smith, Jayde Smith, Staruen Smith Jr., and Sky Smith Jr.; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in Restoration Christian Community Church. Dr. Carl E. Miller Sr., will officiate.
