Joanne D Piotrowski
Joanne Dorothea Piotrowski, 88, of Kimball Township, died Thursday, January 1, 2026.
She was born September 28, 1937 in Wyandotte to the late Dayton and Dorothy Brow. She married Gerald “Jerry” Piotrowski on October 4, 1958 in Clare. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2019 after 61 years of marriage.
Joanne was homecoming queen in high school and later crowned Miss Clare County. She had the honor of cutting the ribbon at the opening of the Mackinac Bridge. She was a devout Catholic. When her daughters were young, she was their Girl Scout leader. Joanne enjoyed reading, socializing, spending time with her family, and had season tickets to the Detroit Lions with her husband and son. She and her husband retired to Florida where they lived for 15 years before his passing.
She is remembered by three daughters, Diane Wright, Denise (Brenton) Spaulding and Donna (Kevin) Macomber; four grandchildren, Douglas Piotrowski, Nicole (Nathan) Spaulding, Mackenzie Kopf and Carlos (Erica) Rangel; two great grandchildren, Isla and Loreli; sister, Eileen Brow; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her son, David Piotrowski; and brother, Gerald Brow.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
Memorials may be made to the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Association of St. Clair County.
