William F Gottschalk
William Frederick Gottschalk, 92, of Marysville, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
He was born February 19, 1933 in Capac to the late Herbert and Otillia Gottschalk. He married Barbara J. Beebe on April 12, 1958 in Capac. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2016 after 57 years of marriage.
William served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed at Semco Energy for 38 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Bill was involved in Christian Clown Ministry as Cuddles the Clown, sang in the Schubert Male Chorus, played baritone in the New Horizons Band, and was a member of the Blue Water Art Association. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and he and Barbara traveled extensively throughout Europe.
He is survived by two sons, Brian (Lois) Gottschalk and Bob (Kristin) Gottschalk; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Gian) Aloisio, Sarah (Collin) Vanyush, Jacob (Samantha) Gottschalk, Mark Gottschalk and Kaitlyn Gottschalk; five great grandchildren, Ryan Brackett, Isabella Brackett, Grace Heinchon, Luca Aloisio and Liam Gottschalk; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene, Elsie and Ruth; and brother, Harold.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 in St. Paul Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Branden Hunt will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force. Pallbearers will be Jacob Gottschalk, Steve Halamka, Mark Gottschalk, Ryan Brackett, Cello Souza and Gian Aloisio.
