Barry Provost

Barry Lee Provost, 70, of Port Huron, died Friday, January 23, 2026.

He was born April 18, 1955 in Port Huron to the late James and Evelyn Provost. He married Cathy Struthers on June 10, 1977.

Barry was a self-employed mechanic who liked working on cars. He enjoyed attending flea markets to see what treasures he could find. He especially cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dog, Ralph. He was always known for his strong will, stubborn as an ox, but deeply dependable.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathy; three sons, Barry Jr. (Heather) Provost, Wayne Provost (Carmilla Roll) and Dan Provost; four grandchildren, Barry, Cathleen, Wayne and Kayla; seven great-grandchildren, Kaiser, Vivian, Jaymee, Lucas, Kamilla, Liam and Abigail; sister, Carol Gracey; and brother, Joe Provost.. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Provost, Ronald Provost and Larry (Ethel) Provost; three sisters, Linda (James) Gorrell, Brenda Ross and Mary Jane Provost; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Herb and Vonda Struthers; brother-in-law, Tom Gracey; and sister-in-law, Gail Provost.

Private family services will be held.
