Peter Paulus III

Peter Paulus III, 71, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, January 31, 2026.

He was born June 14, 1954 in Port Huron to the late Donna and Peter Paulus Jr. He married Deborah Enright on December 14, 1973 in Port Huron.

Peter graduated from Port Huron High School in 1972. He owned and operated Boat Works, an antique boat restoration business and was well known in the field. Many of his restorations will be in Port Huron this fall at the International Antique Boat Show. He enjoyed woodworking and was a jack of all trades who could fix anything. Peter loved talking to people and could make friends everywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah; three children, Peter Paulus IV, William Paulus and Jennifer Joy LaMielle; brothers, Lou (Fredet) Paulus and Jim (Donna) Paulus; mother-in-law, Margaret Enright; several nieces and nephews, including his niece, Irene (Pat) Hoy, who was like a daughter.

A memorial event will be held this summer.
