Dale R Pederson

Dale Robert Pederson, 66, of Port Huron, died Monday, February 2, 2026.

He was born February 26, 1959 in Marlette to the late Sara and Arthur Pederson Sr. He married Mary Alice Garety on July 30, 1987 in Marlette.

Dale proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. For 25 years, he was an active member of the Civil War Reenactors, 5th Texas Company E, participating in events across Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana, with Mary. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as a trustee and sang in the choir. Dale had a deep love for music. Singing, playing the guitar, and dancing with Mary were among his greatest joys.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary; six children, Sally (Leon) Ramsey, Jim (Mila) Elliott, Marti (Tom) Russ, Richard Elliott, Kitty (Rob) Cowdry and Becky (Doug) Archambeau; 28 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Payne and Margaret (Eric) Fry; brother, Alton Ray (Kathy) Pederson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Arthur Jr., Sally, Walter and John.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 5, 2026 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Mark Madson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale’s grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
