Ronald W "Ron" Jawor

Ronald William “Ron” Jawor, 76, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

He was born December 12, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Anthony and Alfreda Jawor. He married Betty McConnell on March 26, 1971 in Goodells.

Ron was employed at Grand Trunk Railroad for 18 years. He enjoyed train watching and woodworking. In warmer months he could be found fishing, camping, riding his bike or participating in the annual Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk. He especially loved spending time with his great-grandchildren and going for walks with his beloved dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty; two daughters, Tammi (Walt) Perry and Roni Jawor; granddaughter, Courtni (Bradley) Koehn; two great-grandchildren, Weston and Braylee Koehn; two brothers, Ray (Linda) Jawor and Mike (Nina) Jawor; sister, Colleen Jawor LaMont; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernadette “Birdy” (Charles) Talbot and Audrey (Larry) Angbrandt; and brother-in-law, Daniel LaMont.

A memorial event to honor Ronald’s life will be Saturday, April 11, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m.in the Goodells County Park Community Center off the west parking lot, 8345 County Park Dr., Goodells, MI 48027. Military honors will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
