Brenda Luther

Brenda Luther, 75, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, February 19, 2026.

She was born July 27, 1950 in Sandusky to the late Fred and Helen VanCamp. She married Leslie L. Luther Jr. on May 14, 1977 in Jeddo. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2022 after 45 years of marriage.

Brenda was employed for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for several years and also worked as a lunch lady with Keewahdin Elementary School. Brenda had a deep love for children, and ‘mothering’ them, including the neighborhood children. She had a way of making them feel like they were her own. She enjoyed gardening and keeping her home beautiful. She loved time with her family, watching the Hallmark Channel, and cross-stitching. She enjoyed working in the school library and helping the struggling children improve their reading. She was a lifelong member of the Jeddo United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School.

She is survived by two daughters, Danielle (Ian) Campbell and Crystal (Mark) Sadler; honorary daughter, Jessica (Amanda) Hewitt; grandson, Oliver Campbell; grand-dog, Lady Sadler; sister, Carol Ramage; sisters-in-law, Nancy VanCamp and Lynne Jarvis; brother-in-law, Albert Luther; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Dallas “Fred” VanCamp, Leslie VanCamp and Pamela Dann.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 in Jeddo United Methodist Church, 8533 Wildcat Rd., Jeddo, MI 48032 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Lay Minister Valerie Chunko will officiate.

Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Troy VanCamp, Fred Ramage, Ian Campbell, Mark Sadler, Connor Dann and Luke Ramage. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Ramage, Jason Jarvis, Nick Jarvis, Tony Jarvis and Joe Jarvis and Timothy Janiszewski.
