Judith G "Judi" McDonough
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Judith "Judi" McDonough, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Judi was born June 19, 1943, and peacefully departed this life on February 22, 2026 with her daughter Kathleen, and her son Keith by her side. Judi was an exemplary mother, raising her children with equal amounts of love, dedication, and discipline which she also extended to her grandchildren.
In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister and aunt, Judi was a faithful member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where she inspired many with her steadfast faith, courage, and devout Catholic values. She was a part of a group of parish members who gathered every week to pray, talk, and enjoy each other's friendship. She was also a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul with her husband, Mick.
Judi was a woman who took great pleasure in life's simple joys such as watching the birds and wildlife in her backyard. Her favorite foods included pancakes, donuts, lemon anything, grilled cheese and "colorful" salads. She had a fondness for ice-cold diet Vernors and she enjoyed coloring and playing games like Aggravation, Farkle, and Double-Canfield with friends and family. Her favorite color was yellow, a perfect reflection of her own sunny personality.
Judi had a knack for making everyone feel special and loved. Her legacy was one of faith, “I love yous", great big hugs, “always do your best” and “be kind to everyone you meet” which will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Judi was preceded in death by her husband of over 59-1/2 years, Joseph “Mick” McDonough; her father, William D. Wood, Sr; her mother, Una (MacPherson) Wood; and her twin brother, James R. Wood, Sr. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Daniel) Pilgrim and Keith (Bonnie) McDonough; her grandchildren, Joseph Pilgrim, Jamie Rae (Brad) Manns, Wade McDonough, Drake McDonough; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Madison, Malachi, Macy, Marek, Maria, and Magnus Manns; her brother, William D. Wood, Jr.; her sister, Carole “Carrie” Wood; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Judi will be dearly missed by her family and the multitude of friends who became family. Her compassion, beautiful smile, and sparkle will be missed by many. She was a beacon of love and kindness in the lives of many, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
