Mark J Barnum

Mark J. Barnum, 70, of Port Huron Township, died Thursday, February 26, 2026.

He was born November 28, 1955 in Port Huron to the late Richard and Yvonne Barnum. Mark married Catherine E. Mallorey on November 15, 1997 in Port Huron.

Mark graduated from Port Huron Central in 1973. He was employed with Smith Tool and Machine LLC and also MPP Corporation for many years prior to his retirement. Mark could fix just about anything and loved helping others with home projects and renovations. He had a passion for building, and could do it all - from houses to specialty tack boxes. He was an avid bowler, loved classic cars, and enjoyed volunteering with 4-H.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Catherine; two sons, Andrew (Tiani) and Christopher Barnum; a very special granddaughter, Abbie; three brothers, Dale “D.J.” (Brenda) Barnum, Pete Barnum and David (Sandy) Barnum; four sisters, Janet (John) Lamping, Nancy (Charles) Collins, Carol Maxbauer and Trish (Rich) DeFrain; former sister-in-law, Renee Barnum; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and several dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Woodland Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron Township.

Mark loved the mission of the Blue Water Area Humane Society, so memorial donations in his memory would be appreciated.
