Kim M Bankson

Kim Marie Bankson, 68, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, March 5, 2026.

She was born October 13, 1957 in Grosse Pointe City to the late Paul L. and Mary Ellen Boland.

Kim graduated from Cros-Lex High School in 1975. She was a kind woman who enjoyed growing plants, coloring, and crafting wreaths. She also loved listening to rock music. Above all, Kim cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Corey (Corine) Bankson and Shannon Bankson (Jay Krotak); three grandchildren, Wyatt Manns, Morgan Daley and Hunter Bankson; two siblings, Diana Colgan and William (Vida) Boland; uncle, John (Catherine) Martell; aunt, Michele Smith; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Chip Boland; a sister, JoEllen Boland; and brother-in-law, Robert Colgan.

Cremation has taken place.
