Jesse Pelayo Torres, 84, of Port Huron, went home to be with his Jesus on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

He was born October 30, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Carlos and Guadalupe Torres.

Jesse graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School and was employed as a Radiology Technologist at Mercy Hospital for 40 years before his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed golfing, cooking and reading. Above all, Jesse cherished his family and the time spent with them, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband to Harvest, and exemplified unconditional love and care as her health declined. Jesse attended Hillside Wesleyan Church and boldly proclaimed his faith in Jesus.

He is survived by his wife, Harvest; son, Martin (Kelly) Torres; two grandchildren, Emily (Johney) Birrell and Anthony (Amiah) Torres; three great granddaughters, Solanus, Thea and Day; step-daughter, Kelly (Dr. Daniel) Kulick; grandchildren, Katelyn and Tyler Kulick; former step-son, Mike Stern; brother, Carlos (Pauline) Torres; brother-in-law, Larry Foglesong; many nieces and nephews; neighbors and dear friends, Chuck Wilcox, Jim Schultz, Becky Howe; and Shelly Lander along with all of the wonderful staff of Regency on the Lake.

He was preceded in death by a stillborn infant daughter, Nicole Danielle Torres, who he had with his former wife, the late Bonnie Torres; two brothers, Paul and Tom Torres; three sisters, Raquel Castillo, Oralia Villarreal and Alma Foglesong; and his former wife and longtime friend, Judith Torres.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 in Hillside Wesleyan Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Nathan Neihof will officiate. A livestream of the service will be available on Jesse’s obituary page of the funeral home website.

Inurnment will be in the Woodland Columbarium, Port Huron Township.
