Robert A "Bob" Kuschel
Robert Albert “Bob” Kuschel, 93, of Port Huron died on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
He was born on December 7, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Opal Kuschel. He met the love of his life, Judith M. Kennedy, and they were married on September 30, 1967 in Trinity Lutheran Church.
Bob graduated from Port Huron High School in 1950 and St. Clair County Community College in 1952. He worked as a personnel manager with Sears Roebuck for 28 years before his retirement in 1991. Bob was a lifelong member at Trinity Lutheran Church where he sang in the church choir for 61 years. He was also a longtime member of the Schubert Male Chorus and a talented artist. A gifted athlete who also loved coaching, Bob was inducted into the Port Huron Sports Hall of Fame on October 25, 2008 as the coach of the 1952 McGill “Winkies” Little League Baseball Team. In his younger years, he enjoyed being a leader with Boy Scouts and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. After retirement, Bob also volunteered at Mid-City Nutrition and in Judi’s classroom.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith; two sons, Marc Kuschel and Scott (Suzette) Kuschel; two grandchildren, Cody Seabrooke and Logan Bromley; sisters-in-law and brothers in-law, Steve Kennedy, Jeffrey Kennedy, and Vicki Sawdon Kennedy; nephew, Michael (Krista) Kennedy; nieces, Melissa (Donnie) Daughtry, Sandy Kennedy and Allison Dawson; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Kathleen (Philip) Buckeridge; brother-in-law, Dave Kennedy; and many wonderful feline companions including Honey and Tanner.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Mark Madson will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
