Laniera M "Lee" Fearnside

Laniera Mae “Lee” Fearnside, 93, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

She was born August 17, 1932 in Indiana to the late William and Edith Coder.

Lee was employed in administration at the General Motors Technical Center for many years prior to her retirement. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to see plays in her free time. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Lakeshore Presbyterian Church, where she was active in many things.

She is survived by her children, Sue (Gary) Weyand, James (Jane) Smith and Rachel (Karl) Ellis; five grandchildren, Carrie (Pastor Dave), Kelly (Greg), Derek (Katie), Jesse, and Tyler (Karen); five great grandchildren, Elijah “Rocko”, Elianna, Grace, Garrett and Grant; brothers, Stephen (Robin) Eldridge and William Eldridge many dear friends; and her canine companion, Toby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fearnside in 2018; infant son, Chuckie; son-in-law, Karl Ellis; and brother, Richard Coder.

A memorial service will be held in Lakeshore Presbyterian Church at a later date.

Inurnment will be in the Lakeshore Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
