July 28, 1942 to March 18, 2026

Virginia Paulette “Polly” Williams, 83, of St. Clair Township, died Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

She was born July 28, 1942 in Covington, Tennessee to the late Paul L. and Audrey Smith. She married Everett Lee Williams in 1977, sharing many wonderful years before his passing in 1991.

Polly graduated from Covington High School in 1959 and went to work for Chrysler Financial in Memphis, Tennessee. After retiring from the corporate world to focus on her family, Polly quickly found a part-time job at the Port Huron Tennis House. She spent nearly 20 years as the smiling face behind the front desk and developed many wonderful friendships. Polly loved spending time outdoors in her yard, playing tennis, golf and pickleball, and reading mystery novels.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Jeff) Galant, William “Thomas” (Michelle) Bray III, Audra Perian, Dakota Williams and Kirsten Bray; grandchildren, Sierra, Jessica, Tyler, Tatum, TJ and Luke; great grandchildren, Henry and Brook Lynn; sister, Dawn (Scott) Steen; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dog and “favorite child”, Copper.

In addition to her husband and parents, Polly was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Tankersley.
