James R Boyle

James Robert Boyle, 89, of Port Huron, died Saturday, March 28, 2026.

He was born March 11, 1937 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late George and Doris Boyle. He married Hazel O’Hagan on May 16, 1964 in Detroit. She preceded him in death on February 19, 1999.

James honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a custodian with the Algonac School District for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed watching TV, camping, traveling, hunting and making jewelry.

He is survived by his two sons, Craig (Lorna) Boyle and Scott (Stacey) Boyle; grandchildren, Ian Boyle, Jake (Jenna) Jakubek, Stephanie Jakubek (Jon Roberson), Katy (Megan) Jakubek, Madeleine Boyle and Jack Boyle; great grandchildren, Ruth Jakubek, Jude Jakubek, Elijah Roberson, Gloria Jakubek and Samuel Jakubek; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Connie. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri (Thomas) Jakubek; and sisters, Sharron Hall and Dianne Burn.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force.

Burial will be in Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Clair Shores.
