Renee Vance

Renee Lynn Vance, 56, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

She was born February 21, 1970 in Hayward, California to Mary and the late Maurice Chatfield. She married James Vance on April 24, 1999 in Manton, Michigan.

Renee was the Director of the Blue Water Chapter Child Evangelism Fellowship for 30 years, sharing her deep love for the Lord and for children. She enjoyed playing games, crafting, making balloon animals and face painting. Renee was a longtime member of Ross Bible Church and was very active in a variety of capacities and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, James; son, Joshua Vance; mother, Mary Chatfield; siblings, Theresa Gibson and Richard (Monica) Chatfield; many nieces and nephews, including Adrielle (David) Garcia, Alexis (Ashley) Hood, Christopher Gibson, Meghan (Gunnar) Bates, Sarah (Kevin) Gibson-Kelly and Jared Gibson; one great niece; three great nephews; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday April 16, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Please note the family is skipping a day between the visitation and funeral.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in Ross Bible Church with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Reverend Tim Clark and the Reverend Steve Scott will officiate.

Burial will be in Aetna Township Cemetery, in Northern Michigan.
