Ann Lessard

Ann Irene Lessard, 92, of Fort Gratiot, formerly of Fruitland Park, Florida, died Monday, April 6, 2026.

She was born July 13, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Henry and Kathleen Tuschling. She married Stanley G. Lessard Sr. on May 17, 1958 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1992.

Ann worked for several area grocery stores before ending her career managing the Sperry’s men’s department for many years. She loved reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and playing Bingo; but her biggest joy was being with her children and grandchildren. Ann was active with the American Legion and VFW in both Florida and Michigan.

She is survived by her children, Catherine (Glenn) Klinkman, Arthur (Linda) Lessard, Stanley Lessard Jr., Michael Lessard, Cheryle (Joe) Hendrickson and James (Kim) Lessard; ten grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister, Connie (Bruce) Reed; sister-in-law, Judy Tuschling; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, John “Joe” Lessard; grandson, James “Jimmy” Lessard Jr.; two sisters, Nancy Paquette and Susan Walters; and two brothers, James Tuschling and Irving “Skip” Tuschling.

Graveside services will be held in June at Christian Memorial Gardens, Peck.
