Ricky L Turck

Ricky Lee Turck, 71, of Mitchell, South Dakota, formerly of Kimball, died Thursday, April 2, 2026.

He was born in January 1955 in Port Huron to the late Walter Melvin Turck and Marjorie R. Boley Turck.

Ricky served four years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska. After his military service, he lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for 40 years and worked on the roads in Yellowstone National Park. He worked as a member of the fire crews out west and was a resort bellhop. He taught skiing, and was a great hunter, trapper and fisherman. He later lived in North Platte, Nebraska. Since a young age, he had a strong Christian faith.

He is survived by his brother, Rusty K. (Shannon) Turck; sister, Cheryl (Tom) Morgan; nephew, Thomas A. (Tanya) Morgan; niece, Amber Turck; and great nieces and great nephews, Thomas F.C. (Brooke) Morgan, Alyssa (Chase) Kammer, Madison and Ellie Morgan; and great-great nephews and great-great niece, Jackson, Malzelynn and Thomas M.C. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tim, Mark and Kelly Turck.

Inurnment was in Mitchell Veterans Memorial Park in South Dakota.
