Lynne M. Brudon

June 23, 1952 to April 23, 2026

Lynne Marie Brudon, 73, of Port Huron, formerly of Chelsea and Ann Arbor MI, passed away into eternal rest on Thursday April 24, 2026.

She was born June 23, 1952 in Ann Arbor to the late James and Kathryn McLeod.

Lynne received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo in 1974. Throughout her nursing career, she served in a variety of roles including the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, dialysis, University of Michigan Hospital and home healthcare. She had a gift of being incredibly caring, generous, and compassionate to her patients and advocated fiercely for anyone who needed it. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Unadilla, going for boat rides, watching U of M football games, and traveling to Florida to visit her father and step mother Burma. Most of all, some of Lynne’s most treasured years were spent in the home she loved on Longman Lane where she raised her children. She found great joy in watching her kids play in the back yard pool, with Veterans Park providing a beautiful backdrop to so many special moments. Lynne loved entertaining friends and family, filling her home with warmth and laughter, especially around the holidays. She also enjoyed simple pleasures, like evenings out at Knight’s Steakhouse - just a familiar spot she could see from her own backyard - making the place she called home all the more meaningful.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Brudon; daughter, Lindsey (Johann) Morse; grandchildren, Anden, Ayla and Avery; siblings, Diane (Jim) Sobey, Sue Pace, and Patrick (JoEllyn) McLeod; her stepmother Burma McLeod; many nieces and nephews; and her cherished canine companion, Maverick. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law, Steve Pace; and former husband, David Brudon.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Ann Arbor on May 29, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery in Dexter, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley or Toys for Tots.
