Norman K Krol

Norman Kenneth Krol, 77, of Port Huron, Michigan, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. He was born on April 22, 1949 in Detroit, to the late Edward and Ann Krol.

Norm began his career as an apprentice in the tool and die industry. He was involved in the automotive supply business for many years, serving as plant manager for the Plastic Plate Division of Lacks Enterprises in Grand Rapids and again as plant manager for Bluewater Plastics in Port Huron. He then co-owned and operated the Office Bar in Port Huron, prior to his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, boating, traveling, and going out dancing. Most of all, Norm loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Rose; two children, Kristin Plautz (Al Buscemi) and Brian Krol (Kelly Clouse); former son-in-law, Dan Plautz; grandchildren, Colton and Isabelle Plautz, Beckett, Bodhi, and Gibson Krol, Emily (Glaine) Stewart, Hannah (Justin) Buscemi- Swisher, Grace Buscemi, step-son Matthew (Karla) Rose; step-grandson, Zachery Rose; former wife, Linda Cavanaugh; three brothers, Jerry (Diane) Krol, Denny (Kay) Krol, and Ken (Lynn) Krol; and many nieces and nephews. Norm was preceded in death by his son, Craig Ryan Krol; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Krol; and an infant son, Jeffrey Krol.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home in Port Huron, Michigan.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Roseville, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Association of St. Clair County.
