Rebecca A Lavis-Coley

Rebecca Lavis-Coley, 50, of Pikeville, Kentucky, died Thursday, May 7, 2026.

She was born March 5, 1976 in Port Huron to the late Jack Lavis and Jan Bond.

Rebecca worked in the restaurant industry and loved shopping and going out to eat. A social butterfly, she enjoyed staying connected to friends through Facebook and chatting on the phone. Family was the center of her world, and she cherished time spent with family, friends, and loved ones.

She is survived by three children, Douglas Coley (Cassie Roberts), Olivia Coley (Dom Rivera) and Gerald Coley; two grandchildren, River and Serenity; two brothers, Joseph (Kelly) Lavis and Scott (Shannon) Lavis; stepfather, Lyle Bond; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; father Jack Lavis; mother, Jan Bond; and brother, Jack Lavis Jr.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend H. Thomas Kuehnemund will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be Jake Lavis, Braeden Lavis, Brody Lavis, Matt Ressler, Luke Ressler, and Bernie Kersten.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Hospice Home.
