Rose M Sheldon

Rose Marie Sheldon, 89, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, after a brief illness.

She was born June 21, 1936 to the late Michael and Catherine “Kate” Schott.

Family meant everything to Rose. She spent her life caring for the people she loved, always putting others before herself. Whether as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, or friend, she was the heart of her family and a constant source of love, comfort, laughter and quick wit. Her caring nature, sense of humor and the way she made everyone feel at home will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Cindy LaTurno, Sandy (John) Anderson, Carolyn Sheldon (Kevin Dortman) and Larry (Lisa) Sheldon; daughter-in-law, Linda Sheldon; sister, Ann Conrad; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, especially her beloved nephew, Leon Schott, who was more like a brother to her throughout her life; as well as her dear friend, Mary Cripps. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her hospice nurse, Jenny Prevost, for her compassionate and loving care. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger; son, Terry; brothers, Max, Mike, Nick, Joe and John; and sisters, Barb, Kate and Lena.

Cremation has taken place and, in accordance with Rose’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
