Frances E Verscheure

Frances Esther Verscheure, 95, of St. Clair, died Thursday, June 4, 2026.

She was born September 24, 1930 in Clinton Township to the late William and Esther Ahrens. She married Leroy Verscheure on December 8, 1951. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1992 after 40 years of marriage.

Frances was employed as a greeter with Kmart for many years. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, arts and crafts and playing bingo. In her younger years she was a talented dish decorator at Mt. Clemens Pottery.

She is survived by her two children, James (Nicole) Verscheure and Penny Lewis; grandchildren, Tasha Lewis-DuPuie, Stephanie Verscheure, Samantha Verscheure, Jamie Verscheure, Hunter Verscheure, Kevin LaFleur and Brett LaFleur; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ella, Lorena and twin brother, Frank

Cremation has taken place.

Burial will be in Richards Cemetery, Ray Township.
