Alice M Gilbert

Alice Mary Gilbert, 83, of Marysville, died Friday, June 12, 2026.

She was born April 19, 1943 in Mount Clemens to the late Frederick and Ruth Mitchell. She married Nathan Gilbert on July 23, 1987 in Safety Harbor, Florida. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2025 after 38 years of marriage.

Alice graduated from Memphis High School. She was a wonderful mother who cared deeply for everyone around her, especially her children and grandchildren, who were at the center of her life. A devoted family woman, Alice found joy in caring for those she loved. She was an exceptional baker and an avid reader, particularly of Amish stories. Most importantly, she treasured reading her Bible and living out her faith every day.

She is survived by four children, Tammy (Joseph) Freshley, Timothy (Hope) Albers, Thomas (Tamborah) Albers and Terry (Chad) Kitelinger; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Albers; and sister, Ruth Ann Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, June 22, 2026 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Township.
