Kevin J Schultz

Kevin John Schultz, 71, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord, unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

He was born March 12, 1955 in Detroit. He married Debra Haberkamp on June 18, 1976 in Southgate.

Kevin was employed with Boilermaker’s Union Local 169 until his retirement. He was a talented guitarist and musician who wrote and recorded his own music and produced radio shows through his company, Schultz Productions. Kevin was very mechanically inclined, could fix everything and enjoyed building and repairing engines.

He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church and imparted biblical wisdom to his family on a regular basis. Kevin had a great sense of humor and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debra; three children, Dr. Jason Schultz, Joshua (Andrea) Schultz and Jenna (Isaac) Godinez; five grandchildren, Ava, Roman and Logan Schultz, Evelyn and Oakley Godinez; two sisters-in-law, Paula (Glenn) Brigan and Sandra (Jeff) Zoller; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Schultz; mother and step-father, Lola and Jack Saunders; father, Duane Schultz; and two brothers, Keith and Kyle Ballew.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Thomas Seppo will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be Jason, Joshua and Roman Schultz, Isaac Godinez, Glenn Brigan and Jeff Zoller.
