Karl D Livingston

Karl Don Livingston, 78, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

He was born September 22, 1947 in Port Huron to the late Doyle and Anna Livingston. He married Hilda Vicencio on July 11, 1981 at First United Methodist Church in Port Huron.

Karl graduated from Port Huron High School in 1965 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University. He retired from teaching at East Detroit High School after 33 years. Karl treasured his spring break vacations with his family to Myrtle Beach as he traveled there once a year every year since 1971. He loved sports, if you ever needed to find him, he was always golfing, bowling, boating, water skiing and was a premier modified softball pitcher. An avid sports fan, Karl enjoyed cheering on the University of Michigan, the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. He especially cherished his time spent with his children and grandchildren and attended their many activities and events. He was their #1 Fan! Karl was a lifetime member of the Port Huron Elks Lodge #343.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Hilda; two sons, Casey D. (Casey L.) Livingston and Corey (Alana) Livingston; grandchildren, Landen and Kaylie; and fur grandbaby, Butch. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are her siblings: Gloria (John), Mary Delia, Lupe, Norma (Joe), Cecilia (Jim), Lidia, Jane (Chuck), Renee, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Gilbert Torrez, Donna Vicencio and Justin Garska.

A memorial event will be held in his honor for friends and family from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in the Port Huron Elks Lodge #343, 3292 Beach Rd., Port Huron Township.

Private graveside services will be held in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
