William Maxwell

William Gregory Maxwell, 78, of Worth Township, died Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

He was born May 27, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Harold and Wanda Maxwell. He married Vicky Fuller on June 2, 1984 in Port Huron.

William graduated from Port Huron Northern in 1966. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with IEA Renewable Energy Inc. for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, shooting pool and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vicky; daughter, Andrea (Jason) Thorpe; grandson, Morris (Alliah Tomcsik) Fuller; three siblings, Craig (Lorrie) Maxwell, Deborah (Brian Dulyea) Zweng-Dulyea and Michelle Maxwell; brother-in-law, Donald (Kyra) Fuller; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Thomas) Hillman, Sandy (Jeffery) King and Carol Lyn (Eric Kivel) Young; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold A. Maxwell; his mother, Wanda C. (Maxwell) Pifer; and a grandson, Isaiah Michael Fuller.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
