Christine Schott

July 29, 1954 to July 02, 2026

Christine Ann Schott, 71, of Port Huron, passed away on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026.

She was born July 29, 1954 in Port Huron. She was a wife and best friend to her husband, Thomas, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2019 after 46 years of marriage.

Chris was a one-of-a-kind lady. She was honest, strong-willed and had the biggest heart. She helped you with anything you needed, after giving you her strong opinion first. She worked hard for what she had as a beautician for many years at Chris’s House of Style. She always put her family above all, loved a good party and enjoyed entertaining.

Chris enjoyed watching her birds, tending to her flowers, gardening, reading, shopping, playing a very mean game of cards and especially spending time with loved ones. Chris always dreamed of having a family and was successful in that endeavor.

She was a proud mother of two daughters, Rhonda (Nick) Miller and Candice Schott. She was the best grandmother “Nana” to Thomas Kern, Ariel Schott (Ian Mitchell), Patrick Kern, Christopher “Hosa” Hinojosa (Brooke Wolschlager), Peyton Miller and Molly Markle. Her love for her family will carry on with every game of NERTZ, tea parties and many memories. Chris always said “we might be poor but we are rich in family”.

She is also survived by her brothers, Harvey McKenzie and David McKenzie; sister, Carol and Steve Totten; in-laws Lyle Jarvis, John and Sandra Schott, Joe and Lori Schott, Nancy and Ed Johnson, Pat and Karen Schott, Kay Smith, Mary and Rock Campbell, Theresa and Rick James, Judy and Joe Blake; along with many other family members, nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gene and Irene McKenzie; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Rose Schott; sisters, Diana Jarvis and Karen Jones; aunt, Rose Sheldon; and brother-in law Mark Smith.

Christine’s family will hold a memorial event to celebrate her life at her home, 1703 Campau, Port Huron Township, on Saturday, July 11, 2026 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
