Pamela A Burroughs

Pamela Ann Zimmer Burroughs, 71, of Algonac, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

She was born October 5, 1954 in Marquette, MI to the late Franklin Zimmer and Gail (Engelgau) Zimmer.

Pamela loved time spent by the water, especially summers at the family cottage in Caseville and watching the freighters on the St. Clair River. Her music tastes usually leaned toward smooth jazz, but every drive up north had one rule: Fleetwood Mac. Those songs became part of the tradition and will always bring back memories of the trips she loved.

She was an exceptional cook and a wonderful entertainer, making every occasion feel special with incredible food and thoughtful touches. That same creativity carried into every season, beautifully decorating her spaces for each passing holiday.

Pamela was also an avid reader, rarely without a book nearby. Mystery novels were among her favorites, and she could devour a great story in one sitting.

She had a great sense of humor, an outgoing personality, and an easy way of connecting with people. She made friends wherever she went and had a knack for making people feel included. She leaves behind countless happy memories, traditions, and stories that those who knew and loved her will continue to share.

She is survived by two children, Jordan Burroughs Horsey (Bryan Horsey) and Gage Burroughs (Paige Austin); a granddaughter, Fallon; and two brothers, Brad and Curt Zimmer.

A memorial service to celebrate Pamela's life will be held at a later date. Service details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.
