Pamela K Goodin

October 31st, 1943 to June 14th, 2012

Pamela Kaye (Sturges) Goodin, 68, of Marysville, went to be with our Lord, unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2012.

She was born October 31, 1943 in Port Huron to Charles and Alberta Sturges. She married Gary Goodin on October 27, 1962, and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.

Pam graduated from Marysville High School in 1961 and retired from Michigan Bell after 20 years of service. She gave of herself and volunteered her time to many organizations, including St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (Volunteer of the Year 2012), Woman's Life Chapter #816, Marysville United Methodist Church (member for 44 years), and many other organizations. She enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling, but more than anything else, she enjoyed her grandkids. She was a strong supporter of Marysville High School athletics and all alumni activities.

Most notably, she was a Grandma to all, a devoted friend to many, and a faithful servant to our Lord. She was accepting of everyone, loved unconditionally, and was giving to all in need. She took pride in, and adored her grandchildren: Nicholas, Brittany, Christopher, Madison and Joshua! Grammy Pam attended every event they participated in over the last 20 years and was their biggest and best cheerleader.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary; daughters, Dana (Larry) Westphal and Stacy (Brad) Priehs; grandchildren, Nicholas and Madison Priehs, Brittany, Christopher and Joshua Westphal; sisters, Carole (John) Zimerman and Nancy (Larry) Corrigan; brother, Robert (Margo) Sturges; mother-in-law, Louise Goodin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Judy (Richard) Kapanka, Ronald (Louann) Goodin, William (Donna) Goodin, Douglas (Carol) Goodin, Bruce (Shari) Goodin and Thomas Goodin; many other family members; and great lifelong friends, Kaye Peck, Kay Stinson, Angie Headlee and Bob Keefe.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday and 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Marysville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Barbara Welbaum will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will her grandsons, sons-in-law and brothers-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marysville United Methodist Church.
