Linda J Frabis
Linda Jean Frabis, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Linda was born on February 8, 1948, to the late George L. Krosnicki and Jean H. Krosnicki (Tylus). She was also lovingly raised by her stepfather, Leon Tylus.
Linda graduated from Peck High School in 1966 and went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree from St. Clair County Community College in 1969. Nursing was more than a profession to Linda-it was her calling. She dedicated many years to caring for others in the nursing home setting, where her compassion, kindness, and gentle heart touched countless lives. Helping people brought her great joy and fulfillment.
Linda was previously married to David Seaton, the father of her children. She later married Michael Hiller, who passed away in 1993, and then Robert Frabis, who preceded her in death in 2020.
Linda shared a special lifelong friendship with her best friend, Asonia McLarty, whose companionship brought her much happiness through the years. Asonia was a dedicated friend who frequently visited Linda and always provided joy in her life.
Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking for her family, tending to her flower gardens, crocheting, latch hook, painting, listening to music, and playing bingo. She cherished her beloved dachshund, Molly, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship.
Christmas was Linda's favorite time of year. She was ecstatic about decorating her home, shopping for gifts, wrapping presents with care, and creating cherished family traditions. One of her most treasured traditions was making homemade pierogies, pigs in a blanket, and sauerkraut with Polish sausage, bringing generations together around the kitchen table. Anyone who attended Christmas with Linda would almost certainly leave with a box of peanut brittle and toffee.
Linda also enjoyed traveling, reading novels by Danielle Steel, and relaxing with episodes of Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, and Hallmark Christmas movies. In her younger years, some of her happiest memories were made while camping with family, playing cards, and enjoying time outdoors with those she loved most.
Above all else, Linda treasured her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her warmth, generosity, caring spirit, and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda's life was defined by compassion, resilience, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
Linda is survived by her loving family, including her sons Duke (Jamie) Seaton and William (Tara) Seaton; her stepson, Kevin (Renee) Frabis; and her stepdaughter, Jennifer (William) Danforth. She also leaves behind her brother, Chester (Jeanne) Krosnicki; her sister-in-law; Sharon Krosnicki; and her beloved grandchildren, Madison Seaton, Dylan Seaton, Kassidy Seaton, Shayna Seaton, Felicia Frabis, Cameron Frabis, Jack Frabis, and Meredith Frabis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George Krosnicki; her daughter, Francie J. Seaton; her husband, Robert Frabis; her husband, Michael Hiller; her stepson, Jason Frabis; and her grandson, David Frabis.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The family encourages everyone to honor Linda's memory by spending time with loved ones, lending a helping hand to someone in need, or carrying on a favorite family tradition, especially during the Christmas season.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at McLaren Port Huron Hospital for the compassionate care they provided during Linda's final moments.
