Wanda C Lange

Wanda Corine Lange, 84, of Wales Township, died Monday, July 27, 2026.

She was born November 20, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Neil and Helen LaVere. She married Robert D. Lange on March 13, 1971 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2005 after 34 years of marriage.

Wanda worked as a nurse’s aide for many years prior to her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and crocheting. A longtime member of Community Baptist Church, Wanda found joy in taking care of all her “grandchildren” at the church.

She is survived by her children, Franklin Shovan, Christopher (Kay) Shovan, and Robert W. Lange; brother, Gary LaVere; sisters, Mary Lou (Gordon) Knowles and Cindy (John) Baxter; sister-in-law, Marsha LaVere; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret (James) Richards; brothers, Terry N. LaVere, Richard W. LaVere, and Kenneth R. LaVere; infant brother, Robert W. LaVere; and sister-in-law, Kim LaVere.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in Community Baptist Church, 1620 Wadhams Rd., Smiths Creek with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Pastor Jared Witkowski will officiate.

Burial will be in Lambs Cemetery, Wales Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Michigan Lupus Foundation.
