Ivan L Crain

Ivan L. Crain, 93, of El Paso, Illinois, formerly of Clyde Township, died Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

He was born July 1, 1933 in West Union, Iowa to the late Lester and Leta Crain. He married Sherry “Joyce” Hiatt on June 15, 1957.

Ivan dedicated many years to Ford Motor Company, where he worked as both a computer technician and welder before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and was especially proud of restoring two antique tractors.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, sons, Steven (Ruth) Crain of Wyoming, Michigan and Richard (Allison) Crain of Shepherd, Michigan; daughters, Kathy Pagel of New Baltimore, Michigan and Cynthia (Steven) Ramage of El Paso, Illinois; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Leta (Duane) Mischer of Harlingen, Texas and Linda Johnson of Clermont, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and David Crain; brothers, Harold and Merlin Crain; and brother-in-law, Robert Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, August 3, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Daniel Wierenga will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
