David Guy Mudge, 73, of Wales Township, died Thursday, July 30, 2026.
He was born February 21, 1953 in St. Clair to the late Hector and Melba Mudge.
David was a member of the St. Clair County Propbusters R/C Club in Goodells and the Wales Historical Society. In 2007, he generously donated his great-great grandfather’s cabin, originally built in the 1840s, to Goodells County Park, where it was renovated and now serves as a museum exhibit. David was a proud, strong-willed man and was known as the “Lawn Mower King”, for his love of maintaining his yard.
David is survived by his daughter, Heather (Ryan) Vuylsteke; nieces, Renea Weatherwax, Dawn Johnson and Jenny Powell; as well as many other extended family members and relatives. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra (Chuck) King and Judith Ann Mudge.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, August 7, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
Burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, at a later date.
