Joseph J Grant

Joseph James “Joe” Grant, 64, of Port Huron, died Monday, August 10, 2026.

He was born June 8, 1962 in Port Huron to the late George and Jessie Grant.

Joe was a graduate of Port Huron High School Class of 1980.

Joe worked as a machinist for many years. He loved spending time around a bonfire, listening to classic rock, especially Tom Petty, and spending time in the outdoors. He was incredibly creative, with a talent for knifemaking and knowledge of historical weapons. He would often be found selling his creations at Gibraltar. He enjoyed everything Batman. He was an animal lover, with a soft spot for outdoor cats.

Above all, Joe cherished spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica (David Burge) Grant, grandchildren, Gabrial (Kate Wilkins) Wigglesworth, Morgan Cook and Lillian Cook; sister, Lydia Grant; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Grant.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, August 21, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
