Richard Glenn Henderson, 69, of Burtchville Township, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
He was born July 16, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Charles Glenn and Marion Elizabeth Henderson. He married Lois Odle on January 25, 1974 in Port Huron. She died October 22, 2007.
Mr. Henderson was employed with Chrysler Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and the going to the casino.
He is survived by six children, Terry (Sherri) Gerstenberger Sr., Todd (Tammy) Gerstenberger, Doug (Stephanie) Gerstenberger, Jeanette Henderson, Ruth Ann (Lance) Cole and Jeff Henderson; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Norman) Schrader; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Nick. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Henderson; and a grandson, T.J. Porter.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Todd Odle, Bryan Gerstenberger, Nick Gerstenberger, Jason Runge and Joe Osko.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
