Elaine June Bergdoll

Elaine June Bergdoll, 89, of St. Clair Township, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026.

She was born November 12, 1936 in East Detroit to the late Elmer and Isabella Fox. She married Paul D. Bergdoll on August 11, 1956 in East Detroit. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before his passing on August 5, 2014.

Elaine was employed as a route manager for the Port Huron Times Herald for many years. She enjoyed shopping on Amazon, and her family often joked that she was “traveling the Amazon.” A great mom, she loved spending time with family including her extended family members, Michelle, Shari, Karen and Glen. As their family grew too large to host Christmas indoors, they began celebrating outdoors with Christmas in July. For these family events, she would create scavenger hunts for the great grandchildren. Elaine was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved camping in Shipshewana.

She is survived by four children, Susie Lambert, Randy (Char) Bergdoll, Jeanne (Ralph) Ulrich and Cliff (Angie) Bergdoll; 14 grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Utley, Nathan (Tiffany) Hendrick, Cody (Jenna) Lambert, Shaun (Amber) Bergdoll, Michelle (Brian) Simpson, Michael (Sarah) Bergdoll, Ryan (Laura) Bergdoll, Danielle (Spencer) Hazlewood, Bradley (Megan) Ulrich, Amanda (Dan) Lowder, Brittany Mick, Brandon (Lauren) Bergdoll, Priscilla Artuso and Paige Artuso; 28 great grandchildren; her dog, Rosie; sister-in-law, Ida Fox; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Lambert and her siblings, Francis Fox, Bernice (Donald) Lienau, and Donald (Nancy) Fox.

Private family services have been held.
