Heather L Scholfield

Heather Lynn Scholfield, 54, of Fort Gratiot Township, died Sunday, August 30, 2026.

She was born November 22, 1972, in St Clair to Christopher and Judith Scholfield and graduated from St. Clair High School and Western Michigan University.

Heather’s desire to help others led her to a career in counseling. She most recently worked as a practitioner at Professional Counseling Center in Port Huron. Heather was a devoted animal lover. She often took care of strays and animals in-need, and had recused and fostered countless cats over the years.

She is survived by her parents Christopher and Judith Scholfield; her work family; and many friends.

Private graveside services at the Lakeside Cemetery Columbarium in Port Huron have been held.

In honor of Heather’s love for animals, memorial contributions to an animal charity would be appreciated.
