Larry Jon Johnson, 81, of Port Huron, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026.

He was born February 13, 1945 in Port Huron to the late John and Edla Johnson.

Larry served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was employed with Domtar Paper Mill and the Grand Trunk Railroad. He enjoyed camping and boating and had a special interest in cars. Some of his favorite times were spent sitting by the river with his wife, visiting with neighbors and enjoying the company of friends. Larry treasured the many lifelong friendships he maintained, some dating back to his elementary school days, including his dear friends, Loren and Gary. These days, he also looked forward to his chocolate malt from Dairy Queen and spending time with his dogs, Jasper and Bentley.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl; daughter, Shelbey (Jamie) Shore; three grandchildren, Makayla, Brooklyn and Leyton Shore; sister, Ruth Falk; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Falk.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026 in Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Branden Hunt will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Marysville.
