Gerald L Stillman

May 11, 1939 to October 20, 2026

Gerald Lee Stillman, 87, of Fort Gratiot died on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

Today, we gather to honor, remember, and celebrate the life of my father, Gerald Lee Stillman.

Dad was a man whose life was defined by dedication, hard work, and a spirit that couldn’t easily be broken. His journey took him through incredible experiences- from serving his country in the United States Navy to taking that same precision, discipline, and passion into his long career working on aircraft at Lockheed Martin. He truly loved working on airplanes, taking pride in keeping things flying high, and that dedication showed in everything he did. If you knew my dad, you knew he had the gift of gab. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, tell stories that could hold your attention for hours, and bring warmth and energy to any room he walked into. He had a natural charm, a sharp mind, and a vibrant spirit that left an impression on everyone he met. Behind that strong exterior was a deep love for his children and his family.

Life throws all kinds of challenges, hardship, and adversity at us, but Dad faced them with remarkable strength and resilience. No matter what he went through, he kept going- teaching us by example what it means to stand strong, persevere, and hold on to hope.

We will miss his presence, his stories, and his voice, we take comfort in knowing that his strength lives on through us, and his spirit is finally at peace.

Private family services have been held.

A proud veteran, Gerald will be inurned at a National Cemetery.
