Christopher J Sawa

Christopher Joseph Sawa, 75, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

He was born February 26, 1951 in Hamtramck to the late Joseph and Cecilia Sawa. He married Ann Burden on October 30, 1974.

Christopher graduated from Wayne State University and began his career as a medical technologist. After working in Detroit for several years, he worked at McLaren Port Huron for 34 years until his retirement. He had a caring heart and loved spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved dog, Lexi. A free spirit, Christopher enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his convertible Miata. He also took pride in caring for his yard and was an avid sports fan who loved watching just about any sport, especially the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings.

He is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Ann; his beloved friends, Jaqueline and Larry Whitenight as well as Ted and Delores Skladnowski; and his god-son, Michael Whitenight.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2026 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.
