Yaw Lum

Yaw Sang "Robert" Lum, 67, of Port Huron, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Medilodge of Port Huron.

He was born February 15, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Kum Hong and Antonia Lum. He married Loretta Lee Ledsworth on April 22, 1966 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron.

Mr. Lum was employed with General Motors and worked as a cook in his father's restaurant.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Loretta; three sons, Robert Jon Lum of San Diego, California, Kevin Gerard (Julie) Lum of Kimball, and "Michael" Hein Bow Lum of Port Huron; three grandchildren, Colleen Antonia Lum, LeeAnn J. Lum and Brandon Tyler Lum; sisters, Josephine (Donald) Woodruff of Port Huron, Yat Ming Lum of Warren, Amelia Mujadin of Everett, Washington and Delores Vasquez of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Victor (Bonnie) Martinez of Phoenix and Anthony (Mary) Martinez of Waterford; a brother-in-law, Alberto Ramirez of Waterford; a sister-in-law, Julie Lum of Los Angeles, California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Chew, Margaret Ramirez, Sally (James) Derrick and Consuelo (Richard) Heiser; and brothers, Frank Martinez and Sing Lui Lum.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 in Griswold Street Baptist Church. The Reverend James Pettit will officiate.
